Pye Motors Announces Strategic Move with New OMODA & JAECOO Dealership in Kendal

KENDAL, UK – Pye Motors, a trusted, well-established family business serving the Lancaster and South Lakes areas for over 100 years, has announced an exciting transformation for its Kendal dealership. Reflecting the rapid evolution of the automotive industry, this move marks the group's second OMODA & JAECOO (O&J) dealership in the area, following their successful launch as one of the brand's pioneering UK partners in Morecambe in 2024.

This strategic evolution brings two of the UK’s most dynamic, fast-growing automotive brands directly to the heart of South Lakeland, offering drivers an exceptional range of innovative, high-specification, and eco-friendly vehicles with varied powertrains.

Pye Motors has a proud history with Ford in Kendal spanning over 30 years. To facilitate this new chapter, Ford sales operations at the site will seamlessly relocate to Pye Motors' existing Ford Car showrooms in Morecambe and Barrow-in-Furness, ensuring absolutely no interruption in service for customers.

Uninterrupted Support for Loyal Ford Customers

While the Kendal showroom transitions to O&J, Pye Motors remains deeply committed to its loyal Ford customer base in the area. Local drivers will experience no drop in service for their Ford vehicles. The site's 9-bay workshop will remain fully operational as a Ford Approved Repair Centre, while additionally becoming accredited to provide servicing and repairs for the full range of Chery International products, including JAECOO, OMODA, Chery, and Lepas vehicles.

Aftersales remains a core strength for Pye Motors. All three of the group's franchised workshops employ highly skilled, fully trained technicians who will continue to provide MOTs, warranty work, and routine servicing for all Ford passenger and commercial vehicles, alongside all other makes and models. Furthermore, all workshops are fully equipped with specialist EV facilities to support electric and hybrid drivers.

Ford Centres Maintained in Barrow and Morecambe

Pye Motors’ dedication to the Ford brand remains robust across the region. The company's established dealerships in Barrow-in-Furness and Morecambe are completely unaffected by the Kendal transition and will continue to offer full Ford sales and service support.
