The Ford Stars of 2021

By Pye Motors

We’ve seen some fantastic additions to the Ford family over the last 12 months. So we thought we’d just take a step back for a recap of all the new models just in case you missed any!

We’ve been awaiting Ford’s first all-electric vehicle for a long time and the pandemic ensured that when we finally got a glimpse of the Ford Mustang Mach-E in March, it was for our eyes only. Thankfully, Pye were chosen to be part of Ford’s UK launch tour and so, through the power of technology, we could broadcast live from our Morecambe dealership and give you a unique tour. Our own Mustang Mach-Es arrived towards the end of June and we were delighted to welcome so many for a test drive eager to try out it’s new one

Another long awaited arrival was the New Ford Puma ST, Ford’s first ever performance SUV in Europe and the latest car to get the signature fun-to-drive DNA of the Ford ST range. Here was another car that offered the opportunity to tailor your driving experience, with race inspired RECARO front sport seats and launch control to give the racing edge. Combined with plenty of storage and the unique Puma Megabox it’s a great family car too.

The Active range also gained another member with the Ecosport, Ford’s small SUV launching in the early part of the year. Perfect for everyday adventures and thrill seeking weekends it’s ingenious rear seat design and adjustable load floor offered over 1200 litres of space in the back so it was staycation ready for the summer.

Ford’s commercial vehicles side was not left out of new arrivals. Following the success of the Ford Ranger Thunder came the Ranger Stormtrak and Wolftrak editions. The Ranger Stormtrak offered a more stylish, more luxurious option with even more pulling power, whilst the Ranger Wolftrak was designed to command off-road performance with a more rugged look.

Both are at home on both road and rough terrain which is the trademark of the Ranger brand and the reason why it continues to be Europe’s number one selling pick up.

Ford’s commercial vehicles are the backbone of British business and this year saw a number of new technical developments to aid our small business owners to take care of their fleets with the minimum of effort. Ford Pass Pro offered instant health checks and service and maintenance alerts to keep vehicles on the road for longer.

Ford Pass Liive, Ford’s latest innovation offers further technical support connecting vehicles to our Transit Service ensuring our technicians can identify the required work, order parts and schedule before your vehicle reaches the workshop. Both of these developments help the team at Pye Motors keep our commercial vehicles and our local business healthy and ultimately on the road.

So a lot has happened in 2021. We’ve not got too long to catch our breath though as we await the arrival of the New Fiesta, Focus and Mustang Mach-E GT and also the New Fiesta Van and Tourneo Connect.

Keep up to date on all our new arrivals on our future vehicles page, and if you fancy a test drive we’ll let you know when they’re in the showroom.
