Two of our staff members will be walking 80 miles to raise vital funds for the Carnforth Rangers FC juniors and St Johns Hospice. We would love you to join us in supporting them.

As your local vehicle dealers, we are passionate about supporting the community around us. We love to help out wherever we can and take part. Here at Pye we also love our footie. So when we found out that two of our team were doing an 80 mile sponsored walk to raise funds for the Carnforth Rangers FC juniors, we wanted to get behind them and get involved.

How are they raising money?

Dave Proctor (from our Hire Centre) and Lee Bowen (our Accident Repair Centre Manager) help to coach this young junior side. They will be walking with other Carnforth Rangers staff: David Haughian and Andy Robinson to raise £3,000 toward new goals for the club as well as donating 10% of all proceeds to St John’s Hospice.

This 80 mile walk will take place on the 15th April from Huddersfield’s John Smith’s Stadium to Carnforth Rangers FC juniors ground.

Why are they raising money?

Football is a fantastic sport for young people, helping them to learn the importance of working as a team and making friends, whilst keeping them fit and healthy.
The Junior section at the Carnforth rangers has grown massively over the past few years. They now have 23 youth teams ranging from under 5s to the Under 16s and this is looking to increase again next year. Therefore they are looking to raise money to purchase two 12x6 Samba goals so that they can continue to let more young people play and train.

Why Huddersfield you may ask?
The location made sense at the time of planning as it means a lot to the club members. Dave Proctor, from Pye’s Hire Centre is originally from Huddersfield and one of the ambassadors is an ex Huddersfield player.

Get involved!

Help the team to continue to provide the best experience for their youngest age footballers by donating to their Gofundme page.

Alternatively If you would like to be one of the main sponsors, have your name on their T-shirts and a mention on their social media, please contact Andrew via the Gofund me page. Minimum donation for this is £250.

We’re looking forward to waving the guys off on their journey to Huddersfield next month.
