When did you join the Pye family?

I joined 8 years ago in 2015. My Father worked for Pye’s for over 40 years so I already felt comfortable with the place and some of the people here. He loved it and encouraged me to apply, I did, I got and… here we are!

What was your first role at Pye, and the path to your current role?

I started as an Admin Clerk in the then ‘Commercial Service’ Team. I took on more responsibility and trained to become a Service Advisor within the same Team. I left Pye’s in 2019 and worked in similar positions, gaining more knowledge and experience before returning in late 2022. The two workshops are combined now so the role is more varied, customer focused than ever which is great. In June of this year, I was promoted to the role of Senior Service advisor and lead the front of house for the Service Team here at Morecambe

What does a typical day at work look like?

Organisation is everything, I like to have everything in it's place, have a plan, everyone has their job to do and, despite there being job cards galore, the day is structured and we are ready. The primary challenge with anything maintenance related is that we don’t know where the work will take us; jobs rarely get smaller and this present us and our customers with obstacles we need to overcome together. I love a challenge though and it’s great to know you’ve helped and made a difference.

What do you most enjoy about your role at Pye?

I enjoy the working environment, the teamwork and support I get from other members of staff and the way my day goes so quickly; I’m never bored!

What are you most excited by within the business?

The future. There has been a lot of positive changes made since I’ve re-joined and it’s going to be nice to see the benefits going forward. Its more customer orientated than ever.

Within your role what are you most proud about?

Going above and beyond for customers, knowing the team has made a difference for them which in turn, has taken away some stress or improved their day.

What vehicle do you currently drive?

Vauxhall Astra which I’ve had for… 1 whole week!

What's in your boot?

Lots and lots of clothes and some Tupperware. All mine by the way!

What would be your dream vehicle to drive?

Mustang Mach-e
