Introducing Dan Boden Senior Sales Executive

Introducing

Dan Boden

Senior Sales Executive

When did you join the Pye family?
Monday 11th February 2019. It was the last of about 40 CVs I had posted that day and the only one that got back to me!

What was your first role at Pye, and the path to your current role?
I started as Transit Sales Executive and learned a lot about all of Ford’s commercial vehicle offerings under the supervision of my manager Chris and then in January 2022 I was made a Senior Sales Executive.

What does a typical day at work look like?
I get in between 8.30am and 9.00am and immediately consume what I have been told is an unhealthy amount of caffeine. I will then divide my day between talking to customers, arranging any forthcoming handovers and keeping a tab on what’s going on in the sales team.

What do you most enjoy about your role at Pye?
First and foremost, it’s the people I work with. We don’t have any choice when it comes to the people we work with, so I count myself as very fortunate to have met people who I will always call very good friends, wherever life may take us in the future. Specifically, to my job, the best aspect of it is the variety of different customers and businesses I deal with, all with their own specific needs from their new vehicle. Definitely keeps me on my toes!

What are you most excited by within the business?
This year will see the arrival of the brand-new Ranger, Ranger Raptor and Transit Custom. We’re already taking enquiries about them and they haven’t even arrived! Based on the success of the current models, I think we can expect more good things in the future.

Within your role what are you most proud about?
As sad as it sounds: every time I see a van or Ranger out on the road which I have sold!

What vehicle do you currently drive?
An Alfa Romeo 159. Even when it’s not working, it’s still very pretty to look at. I also own a Citroën C4 Picasso specifically because I have a toddler at home but that mainly gets driven by my partner.

What's in your boot?
In the Alfa it’s mainly stuff to make it temporarily work like jump leads and socket sets. In the Citroën, it’s all of the paraphernalia usually associated with having a miniature human in your life.

What would be your dream vehicle to drive?
My dream vehicle to drive would be a BMW 507 Roadster. My dream vehicle to own would be an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio because I don’t learn!
