We are delighted to introduce you to our new trainee technician, Joe, who has come to work with us at our Kendal branch. Here we meet Joe:
Why did you decide to become a Ford trainee technician?
I had just finished by level 3 qualification at Myerscough College and was looking at my options on what to do next. I had thought about University but realised I would still need to train the Ford way afterwards. Becoming a Ford trainee technician at Pye Motors enables me to learn on the job and become qualified in 18 months. I won't get the debt of University and will get loads of practical experience. After I am qualified I will be able to specialise in a field that interests me. I'd like to become a fault finding and diagnosis specialist.
Why Ford?
I've always loved Ford's, and we've always had Ford's in the family. I drive a Ford Fiesta at the moment.
What's an interesting fact about you?
During my level 3 training I did lot's of independent rally maintenance & was head mechanic at the North West Rallying stages.
